Thank goodness for containers.

I am definitely a container grower, its great for keeping control, being able to move pots to the best positions and pruning. A lot of herbs like to spread, and spread far, mint and lemon balm especially in my garden (my lemon balm has escaped despite my best efforts however!).

At this time of year new growth is happening fast, I have baby mint shooting up and the woodier herbs have their new leaves coming through, re-potting will be next, the bay tree and rosemary need more room after the winter lull as do the lavender plants. It is brillianr when spring finally hits, but there seems a lot to do at once, fingers crossed for a fine weekend, although there is frost forecast so I won't get too enthusiastic just yet!
