Summer is here.

We have just passed the summer solstice, the longest day which brings summer and as much outdoor time as I can manage - lots of walks and of course, time in the garden. We have all our veg plants in, they are growing well and we are looking forward to harvesting in due course. This year we have cauliflower, 8-ball courgettes and greyhound cabbage for the first time, along with the usual suspects of runner beans, carrots, tomatoes ( Alicante, Gardener's Delight and Cherry) cucumbers, tree onions and garlic...as well as our lovely herbs of course. Lots of planting for pollinators has given us a wide range of flowers, mostly in containers which are dotted around as well as the beautiful roses which are literally buzzing!

Here's to plenty more warm weather and sunny days to come.
